1673 (23 March) Navy Office letter with address panel made out to Captain Richard Brereton "Cleark of the Cheque of his Majesty's Yard at Woolich" requesting "Muster Books of those shipps [Yarmought and Leopard] tomorrow that His Magesty may not loose the benefit of them at ye pay". Signed "Your very loveing friends Brunkcer, J. Ernle, J. Tippetts, T. Hayter & J. Pepys". Small ink stain at lower right otherwise fine and a rare signature.

Notes: John Pepys, Samuel Pepys' brother succeeded him as joint Clerk of the Acts.
