1922 group of three envelopes showing the use of Cigarette Surtax Labels used as Postage Dues; (12 Dec.) envelope bearing 1 ½d. coil stamps and taxed 3d., and a strip of four ¾d. cigarette surtax labels affixed to pay the deficiency, tied by 'Fordsburg/ Johannesburg' c.d.s., (22 Aug.) envelope to Durban bearing ½d. cigarette label and taxed ½d. for improper use of the label and (9 Dec.) envelope to Fordsburg bearing ½d. Coil pair and taxed 2d.; a very interesting and scarce trio
