1964 (Dec.) 50th. Anniversary of the Battle of the Falkland Islands, 6d. black and light blue, variety error of vignette "H.M.S. Glasgow" in place of "H.M.S. Kent", fresh, full original gum. A very fine example of this outstanding Queen Elizabeth error. S.G. 216a, £40,000

Note: It is believed that one sheet printed with the vignette for the 2½d. value received the 6d. frame in error, but fewer than 20 examples have been recorded in the past 53 years since its discovery in 1970 and at least five of those have been mounted.
