FD large margins and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at upper right, tied by red Maltese Cross to entire to Largs with Isle of Man c.d.s. of 10 Sept. 1840 on the reverse; fine. With interesting contents including ".... much we see here reminds me of Scotland - all children without shoes & stockings - the Manx language sounds much like Gaelic...." and much more in the same vein. A very rare use of the Penny Black from the Isle of Man. Photo.
