FE, grey black shade (very worn impression), just clear at top to huge margins, tied by red Maltese Cross cancellation to printed entire letter, dated within 29 May 1840 (Friday), from London to Cambridge, with "Pall Mall" and red script "Too Late" on the front, dated markings 1 and 2 June on reverse; the Penny with tiny imperfections but a scarce and striking cover
