Registered Letter colour trial selection (6) from the De La Rue archive including three with inscription registration fee instead of registration & postage fee, in ultramarine, in orange and in brown, two with inscription registration fee modified in manuscript to registration & postage fee in ultramarine and in orange (with also value modified to 1½pi), and one in orange with handpainted change in value to 1½pi. showing new panel with correct inscription handpainted and affixed above the stamp, also an issued 1pi. ultramarine for comparison. In addition a 1909 4m. red postal card essay with two lines of script crossed in pencil and annotated these words to be left out. A most attractive group.
