1911 (Sep.) preprinted envelope of the Compagnie Marocaine to its agency in Fez, sent from the German P.O. in Casablanca and stolen in a robbery on the way. On the reverse manuscript annotation in French "Stolen between Casablanca and Rabat at the end of September, found on the road near Bouznika", alongside three sealing labels of the Imperial German P.O. in Fez, tied by three fes morokko (15.11) c.d.s. and Officiellement Ferme in manuscript. Small blunt corner and stamp fallen off, an incredible piece of history from the Second Morocco Crisis. Steuer certificate (2011), just one of three such "Robbed letters" are known. Photo
