1766 (8 Mar.) entire letter from Saffi, Morocco to Marseille, carried privately to Gibraltar where it was endorsed on reverse "Recevida el 26 marco y encaminada el 28 por la M.S. Juaqui Aboab Gibr", forwarded overland and showing a very fine strike of the Seville "Andalucia/Alta" h.s.; most attractive and rare. Lallevee certificate (2010). Serres (Marques Postales et Obliterations du Maroc Espagnol) reports this mark as only known from 1807-08. Photo
