Note: Capt. C.D. Barnard and F/O E.H. Elliott accompanied by the Duchess of Bedford were making an attempt on the record non-stop flight to India. The Duchess of Bedford returned from Karachi (return journey) to England by steamer owing to belated flight programme and frequent trouble in aeroplane engine, leaving the pilots to fly the return trip. "Princess Xenia" left Karachi on return trip and reached London on 6 September 1928 in just four days. A few letters were carried.
