1919 (9 Jan.) envelope from Baghdad to Delhi then forwarded by surface to England and then re-addressed to France, marked "On Active Service" and in red ink "By Aeroplane", bearing British Occupation of Iraq 1a. on 20pa. vertical pair cancelled by F.P.O. 55 c.d.s. and tied by framed "postal service/aerial post-baghdad-delhi/per/handley-page aeroplane" in purple and showing, on reverse, circular "carried by aerial mail/baghdad-delhi/jany 1919" in violet, Delhi c.d.s. (20.1) and London machine d.s. (17.2). Very rare, one of six mails carried on this leg. Photo
