1869 (10 May) and 1872 (11 Dec.) envelopes from the same correspondence to Philadelphia. the first marked "p American Steamer via St. Thomas", bearing 1861-70 (1d.) pale blue and (4d.) dull vermilion both cancelled with bootheel "1" and with the (1d.) additionally tied by "n.y. steamship/10", the reverse with despatch, St. Thomas (13.5) and arrival (4.6) datestamps; the second marked "p Steamer via St. Thomas", rated "4" and bearing 1861-70 (4d.) dull rose-red and 1872 clean-cut perf. (1d.) blue both cancelled with datestamp with a further strike alongside, the (1d.) additionally tied by "n.y. steamship/10" datestamp (20.12), no datestamps on reverse; also 1873 (28 June) entire from Bridgetown to London, bearing 1872 watermark Small Star 1/- black cancelled with double-arc datestamp with a further strike alongside and over-cancelled with London Paid datestamp (14.7), minor soiling at top clear of the adhesive
