Plate 164: JG with close to very large margins, tied by superb manuscript "Grays Inn / Dec 21t 1853" in red pen and ink to 1853 (21 Dec.) entire letter from Bedford Road to Leek with "grays inn" handstamp, Leek and London d.s. on reverse. A remarkable cover presumably cancelled on dispatch owing to a temporary unavailability of the usual numeral cancellation. R.P.S. Certificate (2022).
