Plate 20: AG with good to close margins tied by well struck Kirckudbright Maltese Cross in black to 1842 (29 March) wrapper to Gatehouse with framed "gatehouse/mr 30/1842" and, on the reverse, Kirkcudbright d.s.; wrapper with minor faults otherwise a superb example. Mike Jackson Certificate (2017) noting that this Maltese Cross cannot be certified unless on cover.
