The 'Kyrios' Collection | Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Ptolemy I Soter (305-282 BC), AR Tetradrachm, c. 306-300 BC, head of deified Alexander the Great with horn of Ammon clad in elephant's skin and aegis rev. ALEXANDROY Athena Alkidemos advancing right brandishing spear and holding shield, helmet above monogram and eagle in the right field, 15.82g (CPE 63, SNG Copenhagen 19; Svoronos 168), highly detailed, softening at higher points, especially on the obverse, nicely toned, small split and some clipping, good very fine
