The 'Kyrios' Collection | Kingdom of Macedon, Alexander III, 'the Great' (336-323 BC) AV Stater, Sidon, struck under Menes, dated 324-323, head of Athena right, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet decorated with coiled serpent, rev. [ALE]XANDROY Nike standing left holding wreath and stylis, palm frond and date (in Phoenician) to left, with SI below left wing, 8.55g (Price 3490a), struck in high relief on a lustrous, if slightly short flan, some softening to reverse but otherwise about good very fine
