Victoria (1837-1901), Plain Edge Pattern Proof 'Gothic' Crown, MDCCCXLVII [1847], 'N over Inverted N in UNITA', by W Wyon, crowned 'Gothic' bust left, WW incuse on truncation, rev. en medaille, crowned shields cruciform, N over inverted N in UNITA, edge plain, 27.67g, 12h (ESC 291 var.; Bull 2578 [R2]; Spink 3883) lightly polished and darkly retoned, with minor surface marks, otherwise struck details about extremely fine, an irresistible collector's coin in virtually any grade, especially with the die-sinkers error variety
