(x) NGC MS62 | George III (1760-1820), Pattern Garter Dollar, 1804, by C.H. Küchler, in silver, Type I/3, no REX, top leaf to upright of D of DEI, laureate and draped bust right, .:C.H.K. on truncation, rev. crowned Garter shield dividing date in upper field, edge plain, 26.97g, 11h (Davis 21; ESC 182; L&S 91; Selig 1243-44), softly cleaned and artificially retoned, otherwise with natural brilliance, with superb traces of Charles IV 1801 8-Reales undertype, the reverse unusually struck twice with the die rotated 180° between strikings, a pleasingly bold extremely fine and very rare, in NGC holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #6769472-001)
