NGC PF64 | Anne (1702-1714), Silver Pattern for a Farthing, 1713, 'Britannia in Portico', diademed and draped bust left, rev. Britannia seated left on globe and within niche of Portico, holding olive branch and spear, garnished Union shield resting below, edge plain, 4.64g, 12h (Montagu 12; Cooke 485; Pywell-Phillips -; BMC [Peck] 747), usual die cudding otherwise beautifully cabinet toned with much underlying and playful lustre in fields, the devices handsomely frosted and as issued, much as struck, very rare, in NGC holder, graded PF64 (Cert. #6769462-003)
