(x) NGC MS64 | Cnut (1016-1035/36), 'Cross in Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, c. 1017-1023, Norwich, "Ine", + CNVT REX ANGLOR, crowned and draped bust left, in quatrefoil, rev. + INE ON NORÐPICI, voided long cross in pellet-tipped quatrefoil, pellet at each apex, 0.78g [12.04grns], 4h (BEH Type E; SCBI 66 [Norway], 2284 [Årstad, Egersund] same dies; North 781; BMC VIII; Spink 1157), very appealing light toning throughout, uniformly struck up, a pleasing extremely fine, an evidently excessively rare moneyer with only one example for the same die pairing traced on EMC/SCBI from the Årstad trove recovered in February 1836, in NGC holder, graded MS64 (Cert. #6324267-006)
