The 'Haddenham' Collection of English Coins | Cnut 'the Great' (1016-1035/36), 'Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, c. 1017-1023, Cambridge, Wulfsige, + CNVT REX ANGLO, commencing at 8 o'clock, crowned and draped bust left, rev. + PVLFSI O G.RAN, voided long cross in pellet-tipped quatrefoil, 0.81g [12.50grns], 6h (Hildebrand 1067 [Type E]; SCBI 13 [Copenhagen], 1107-1118; North 781; BMC VIII; Spink 1157), conserved bright and lustrous, with hints of tone in recesses, traces of doubling, otherwise a pleasing portrait, a bolder very fine, scarce, and evidently a stray from the Cambridge "Cnut" (1993) hoard
