Zeugitania, Carthage, AV Stater, c. 350-320 BC, head of Tanit left, wearing wreath of grain-ears, triple-pendant earring, and necklace with eleven pendants, rev. horse standing right upon exergual line, 7.70g [118.8grns], 1h (Jenkins & Lewis, Group IIIi, cf. 108-109; Jameson 914; Hunterian 25) the reverse broad-struck and the key devices handsomely uniform with the portrait attractively centred, of rich gold fabric, about extremely fine, an exceptional survivor of this commonly-encountered but immensely popular Punic series with a fine pedigree
