(g) George III (1760-1820), 'Garter' Half Guinea, 1804, seventh laureate head right, rev. crowned shield within Garter, milled edge, 12h, 4.18g (MCE 442; Bull 849; Spink 3737), some very faint haymarking to obverse and bright but beautifully lustrous, handsomely struck up for issue even amongst the hair detailing, a sensationally good extremely fine, a truly 'choice' example of this more common date
