James II (1685-1688), Guinea, 1686, second laureate bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 7.76g, 6h (MCE 126; Bull 324; Spink 3403), hairline scratch before the bust and to the right of the harp, some flatness to the hair, the rims furled as if removed from mount but the milling sharp and distinct, otherwise struck details very fine, scarce
