Edward III (1327-1377), Fourth Coinage, Treaty Period, Half-Noble, 1361-1369, Tower, x ED| WARD x DEI: G: REX: ANGL: D: HYB: Z: AQT., saltire stops, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, ornaments -11-11, quatrefoils 4/4, ropes 3/1, rev. + DOMINE: NE: IN: FVRORE: TVO: ARGVAS: ME, floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, E at centre, all in double tressure, 3.86g [59.0grns], 6h, i.m. cross potent (Schneider I, 79-80; North 1238; Spink 1506), crimped with minor traces of stubble rash, otherwise extraordinarily full and wanting of any clipping so oft usually encountered with this issue, a bolder very fine, very rare in this more honest 'as issued' striking state
