Cnut (1016-1035/36), 'Pointed Helmet' Type, Penny, 1023-1029, Bruton, 'Effi' [Ælfhelm (?)], + CVNETI REX ANI, draped bust left, wearing pointed helmet, trefoil-tipped sceptre before, rev. + EFFI ON BRIVTIO : [sic], voided short cross, pellet-in-annulet in angles, 1.04g [15.8grns], 12h [m.m. at 11h] (BEH, type G; North 787; BMC XIV; Spink 1158), a probable Scandinavian imitation in the style of the prohibitively rare Somerset mint, with peck marks and crimping resulting in brightness, nevertheless struck details bolder than very fine, presumed UNIQUE, with this coin the sole documented example since 1908
