Cnut (1016-1035/36), 'Cross in Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, 1016-1023, Hertford, Leofing, + CNVT REX ANGLO, crowned and draped bust left, in quatrefoil, rev. + LYFINC ON RIETN, voided long cross in pellet-tipped quatrefoil, pellet at each apex, 0.94g [14.5grns], 3h (EMC 2013.0271; North 787; BMC VIII; Spink 1158), slightly concave, otherwise pleasingly struck including to portrait, lightly toned, good very fine, a scarcer mint and abnormal reading
