(g) USA, Gold 'Princess Head' 3-Dollars, 1861 $3, Philadelphia, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Indian 'Princess' head left, rev. 3 DOLLARS 1861 in three lines within wreath, edge milled, 5.00g, 6h (Fb. 124; PCGS 7982; NGC 25MG), small scratch below bust, and lightly wiped but uniformly toned interspersed with occasional flashes of brilliance, a most pleasing very fine, a very rare date from the outset of the American Civil War with a tiny reported mintage of 5,959 pieces
