(g) Victoria (1837-1901), Type IC, Shieldback Half-Sovereign, 1885 over 3, London, third crowned bust left, rev. crowned and garnished shield, edge milled, 3.99g, 7h (Marsh 459A [R5]; Spink 3860F), faint bagmarks in otherwise lustrous and handsomely peripherally orange-toned fields, some tiny rim nicks, nevertheless extremely fine, the reverse better and the important overdate extremely clear, rare thus
