St. George and Dragon, date in exergue, edge milled, 7.98g*, 7h (Marsh 6; Spink 3800), the obverse entirely defaced by solder, presumably for mounting in a brooch, the reverse pockmarked from soil deposition, otherwise struck details very fine, an interesting piece of social history
