Evan Prowse is belived to have been the Evan Arthur Prowse born at Maidstone Heath, Southampton and died on 9 July 1924 in Somerset West, Cape Province, South Africa. He was mentioned for his services with the South African Light Horse, having seen a great deal of service with them (London Gazette 8 February 1901); sold together with a copied London Gazette entry and medal roll extract.
