Great Britain: News of the World Limited, £1 ordinary shares, 19[35], #185, blue. Founded in 1843 and found popularity in its sensational reporting even at that period. By the 1950's had the largest circulation of any newspaper in the Western world. Acquired by Rupert Murdoch in 1969 and continued with its sensationalist reporting which gave rise to numerous accusations of illegal phone hacking by members of its staff. Ceased publication in 2011. GVF and rare.
