France: Paris Hippodrome Skating Rink Co. Ltd., bearer warrant for 5 ordinary shares of £1, 19[09], #966, lovely vignette of the Art Nouveau posters advertising the skating rink, text in English and French, green and brown, with coupons. The Hippodrome was opened in 1900 during the Paris Exposition in Place Clichy and was home to various shows including Bostock's Circus. Opened as a Cinema by Compagnie des Cinama-Halls in 1907 but then passed to this company at the height of roller skating boom. Taken over by Geaumont and renamed Gaumont-Palace to become the largest cinema in the world. EF and scarce.
