(x) Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., Falkland Islands (69 Sergt. B. Fleuret), good very fine and rare

One of 29 G.VI.R. 1st issue ‘Falkland Island’ Efficiency Medals awarded.

Bert Fleuret was born in 1896 and served in the Falklands Islands Defence Force. Later becoming a Civil Servant, he moved out to the Islands in July 1949 and died there on 24 March 1953, being buried in the Stanley Public Cemetery.
