I. V. Philips served with Number 9. Group, Royal Observer Corps which operated in the Yeovil area. Philips joined with her husband and served with him at 9/E2 Post, Kentisbeare; sold together with copied research including printed information on No. 9 Group, R.O.C., an entry from the R.O.C. journal noting the award of the medals to the Philips' and a copied photograph along with an O.H.M.S. card box of issue named to M. Philips- the recipient's husband- and a letter addressed to Observer M. Philips informing him that his request to serve in the peace-time Royal Observer Corps has been accepted.
