James Trevase Blake Rugman was born at Thornbury, Gloucestershire in 1889 and worked as an Engine Driver prior to enlisting in the Army Service Corps. Attesting at Bristol on 11 July 1916 he served through the Great War being posted to the Gloucestershire Regiment for demobilisation on 25 February 1919 . Later demobilised from their depot on 27 March 1919.
