Robert Mackie was born in 1894 at Logie, Buchan and enlisted at Aberdeen. He died of wounds on 14 October 1916 and is buried in the Courcelles-Au-Bois Communal Cemetery Extension. Mackie was the son of Christina and the late Robert Mackie of Tipperty Croft, Logie, Buchan, Ellon, Aberdeenshire.
