Edward Workman was born at Surbiton in 1897. The son of Edward and Alice Workman of 14 King Charles Crescent, he enlisted at Kingston upon Thames and served in the Balkans from 6 October 1915. Workman died on 4 October 1918, whilst serving with "C" Battery, 69th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery and is buried in the Tehran War Cemetery.
