Edward Frederick James Hills was born at Dalston and enlisted at Dorchester. He served in France with the 1st Battalion, Dorsetshire Regiment from 13 May 1915 and was killed in action on 6 June 1915. Jarvis is commemorated on the Ypres Memorial.
