Richard Beech is confirmed on the roll as serving with No. 45 Company Army Service Corps, with General Buller, which also notes entitlement to the Laing's Nek clasp, but the original roll states 2 clasps. He was transferred to England on the 22 October 1902 and during the Great War served in France from 22 December 1914.
