Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 (632 Pte E. Stevenson. Middlesex Regt:); British War Medal 1914-20 (S.632 Pte. E. Stevenson.' Midd'X R.), pitting and contact marks, nearly very fine (2)

Ernest Stevenson served with the 5th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment during the Anglo-Boer War. Posted to the 1st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment during the Great War, he was wounded in left knee and leg with by a burst of shrapnel on 28 October 1916. Taken to No. 34 Casualty Clearing station Stevenson recovered from his wounds and was posted to the 2nd Battalion, continuing to serve until the end of the conflict.
