David Wood Martin was the son of Alex and Margaret Martin of 6 Canal Street, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire. He served in France as the Bugler for 1st/7th Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and died on 15 November 1916 and is buried at Mailly Wood Cemetery, Somme.

David Fernie was the son of Mrs. J. Fernie of Post Office Buildings, Main Street, Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire. He served with 'B' Company, 7th Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and died of wounds on 30 July 1917. Fernie is buried at Dozinghem, Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Belgium.


Thomas Spence served with the 13th Battalion, Royal Scots and entered the war in France on 4 October 1915.
