Victory Medal 1914-19 (62524 Pte. A. E. Holbard. R.A.M.C.), very fine

Arthur E. Holbard was from Stamford, Lincolnshire and served with the 92nd Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps during the Great War. He is listed in the diary of Nurse Mary Angus Harfield while a patient at a Military Hospital in December 1916. He wrote her a Christmas message stating:

'Sister Harfield the Compliments of the Season, and the Best of Health and Happiness, Christmas 1916''

During his stay in Hospital Holbard was on Wards 22-23; sold together with a transcript from an entry in Lives Of The First World War 1914-1918.
