(x) British War Medal 1914-20 (24/107 Rflm. W. G. Drummond. N.Z.E.F.), minor edge bruises and contact wear, overall very fine

William George Drummond was born on 13 January 1895 at Wellington, New Zealand, the son of A. J. Drummond of the Public Trust Office, Wellington. Working as a Grocer's Assistant at the Allen Grocery, Happy Valley he served with 2nd Battalion, 3rd New Zealand, Rifle Brigade and died of wounds on 19 September 1916. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Somme, France; sold together with a three photographs of the recipient's grave and copied research.
