(x) British War Medal 1914-20 (46006 Pte. A. J. Drummond. S. Wales Bord.), pitting, contact marks, edge wear, nearly very fine

Arthur James Drummond was born at Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire on 4 October 1898 the son of James and Sarah Drummond. Enlisting with his brother James Drummond- who was later granted a commission with the Royal Air Force- he was mortally wounded while serving with the 24th Battalion, South Wales Borderers on 23 August 1918. He died the next day and is buried at Arneke British Cemetery; sold together with copied research including census data, newspaper extracts and a copied M.I.C. as well as Commonwealth War Graves data and two original photographs of the recipient's grave.
