British War Medal 1914-20 (2. Lieut. S. J. Powell), sold together with his original Commissioning Document, good very fine

Sydney James Powell served with the 7th Battalion, South Wales Borderers, attached 67th Machine Gun Company, entering the war at Salonika in September 1916. Accepted as an Officer Cadet he was commissioned on 18 October 1917 as 2nd Lieutenant being promoted Lieutenant after the end of hostiles on 2 December 1920.
