1914-15 Star (J.38234, C. E. Page, Boy. 1, R.N.), very fine

Charles Edwin Page was born at Forest Gate, London on 2 October 1899 and enlisted with the Royal Navy on 21 April 1915 as Boy Class II with H.M.S. Powerful. Posted to H.M.S. Antrim on 26 August 1915 he served with her until 17 December 1917, having reached his majority and been appointed Ordinary Seaman two months previously. An armed Merchant Cruiser, not to be confused with the Auxilery Cruiser sunk in 1915. Page was promoted Able Seaman with this vessel on 15 October 1918 and was demobilised on 28 February 1919.
