(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, brooch mounted, disc only, (9748 Pte. F. Dale, Cldstm: Gds:), contact marks, very fine

F. Dale enlisted with the Coldstream Guards at Birmingham on 9 March 1894 and was posted to South Africa but seriously wounded at the Battle of Modder River by the 'bursting of shell' on 2 January 1900; sold together with a file of copied research including service papers and medal rolls.
