George Henry Webb had previously served in the Windsorton District Mounted Troops before joining the Southern Rhodesia Volunteers. It is worthwhile noting that Sergeant-Major Webb of his unit was 'mentioned' (London Gazette 16 April 1901, refers); sold together with copied roll extracts.
