William Rose Bock and Alfred Ernest Cousins
Bock was a dominant force in New Zealand stamp production for over half a century from the mid-1870's until 1931 and Cousins the only New Zealander ever to defined himself specifically as an 'engraver of the postage stamp die' as he did in the 1894 Wellington Almanack.
1876-1931 balance of the Bock and Cousins collection on exhibition pages including original Bock letterheads, two unused tourism postcards, 1890 2nd sideface 2½d. block of four, 1892 Cook Islands 1½d. mauve imperf plate proof pair, 1892 Tonga imper die proof of the 8d. value in mauve, 1906-09 Registered envelopes, 1906 Christchurch Exhibition ½d. pair on postcard to London and 1d. on exhibition postcard, 1907 Telegraph die proof, unused Edward VII postal stationery (4) and George V postal stationery (4), 1931 'Smiling Boy' mint pair, etc., chiefly good to fine
