A collection of covers and envelopes including ½d. used on an unsealed printed matter envelope, taxed at Wellington and 'not known' handstamp applied, 1d. rose including envelopes franked 1d. pair to make up the 2d. rate and sent Registered, 2d. lilac including an advertising envelope to Melbourne and two covers posted by the same ship and to the same addressee, one with 'loose ship letter' boxed handstamp applied, Registered covers and double rate covers, an 1892 envelope from the Bank of New Zealand to New York via San Franciso and franked with ½d. rose, 2d. lilac (2) and 3d. yellow, a group all franked with 2½d. blue including an envelope sent Registered to Philadelphia, U.S.A. bearing 1d., 2d. and 2½d., 1897 envelope sent Registered to Wisconsin bearing 8d. blue, etc., a lovely group with some more unusual destinations and mixed frankings
